COMPONENTS

Every one of my split cane rods is built from the finest hand selected 'Tonkin' bamboo, the only species of cane with all the natural characteristics required to make the finest fly rods, and is manufactured with the loving care you would expect of a master craftsman.

The signature series rods are built on a hand planed blank produced from a single culm of bamboo, which is flame tempered to impart strength and then hand split, planed and and assembled in my workshop to meet your exact requirements.

Genuine agate stripping guides in nickel silver mounts and hard chrome snake intermediates and tip tops keep the rod and line working together. The 'Super Swiss' style ferrules are of the highest quality nickel silver with options of either a blued or polished finish. Hand engraving of all nickel is available at an extra cost.

Reel seats are of high quality nickel silver over hardwood spacers in a selection of wood options including Cocobolo, Cherry Burl and Gunstock Walnut. Either "cap and ring" or "screw locking " options are available.

Only the best Flor Grade cork available is suitable for use on my rods and each grip is hand tuned in my workshop, while I favor the swelled cigar shape pictured I can create whatever form you prefer for your rod.

The specially selected spar varnish is applied in three coats using traditional methods to give a deep flexible finish that still shows off the beauty of the hexagonal construction without compromising on protection. The standard finish is High Gloss although a hand rubbed satin finish is available should it be required.

The wraps are of the highest quality silk and available in a variety of traditional colours and weights to suit any rod and your personal taste.

All my rods are supplied with a cloth bag and aluminium tube to protect them when you are not fishing as well as simple care instructions to keep the rod in top condition.
