SILK FLY LINES.

I can now offer you a range of silk fly lines from 'Phoenix Classics' to compliment your split cane rod. These lines are hand made using pure silk and finished to the very highest standard using techniques 100 years old.

The advantages of silk over PVC are that it doesn't stretch and that rather than floating in the surface film, like PVC, it floats on top giving cleaner 'lift off' for the cast thus creating less disturbance.

I use these silk lines almost exclusively for my fishing and I can say with absolute confidence they are the best available. Grease the line for floating or leave it "un-dressed" for intermediate sinking or combinations for sink tip. One line can do it all, in one session.

Each line is supplied with care instructions and a tin of red mucilin.

While silk lines do require some care this is a simple procedure and if you look after you silk line it should out perform PVC in terms of life-span, performance on the water and in the pleasure that can be derived from using a natural product.
