THE WALLACE FLY REEL

The "Wallace" fly reel is the result of joint development by myself and Garry Mill of the Mill Tackle Company.

The design is based on the Aerial Reels produced by J W Young and has been developed as a middleweight, large arbour fly reel with stunning classic looks to compliment any bamboo rod, although this reel would also look equally at home on a fine Carbon rod.

Each reel is hand built in Reditch by Garry to my specifications and finished to the highest possible standard, there are no imported components in these reels and all parts are manufactured in the Mill Tackle workshop.

Because the "Wallace" fly reel is hand built each one is subtly different from the last, much like a hand built car, making them truly unique. Further more customers have the option of specifying handle materials and configuration as well as the finish in either polished alluminium or bronzed anodizing. Fine engraving is also offered to add the final personal touch.

At present there is one standard reel in the range, built to accommodate a weight 3-5 line with sufficient backing to handle hard running fish.

Within the next few months we will be adding a 6-8 weight sea trout model and an 8-10 weight salmon model, all with the same stunning looks and an added adjustable spring pawl drag which can be converted for left or right hand operation.

The Wallace is a hand built fly reel and each one is made to order so waiting times from placement of order are a minimum of 8 weeks.
