You can either order online, or contact me to discuss the process in more detail and I will issue invoices for the deposit and final payment at the appropriate times.
Orders for all rods and reels require a 50% deposit prior to starting work, the remaining 50% to be paid before dispatch. Simply select which rod you want along with the optional extras you might like and email me or call for a full quote and information on likely waiting times.
I usually advise around a three month lead time from deposit to delivery, but this is subject to the number of orders already in production, waiting lists are dealt with in order of date the confirmation was placed without exception.
Once you have decided which rod you would like you can either place an order directly through the website or email me to discuss your needs. Before I start work on your an invoice for the 50% deposit, along with the agreed spec of the rod will be issued and when the funds are cleared I will make a start on building your rod.
There are aspects of the rod's design that you can change as the job progresses without any further costs, such as silk colour and reel seat spacer, these may however delay completion a little. I will give you progress updates to let you know when any particular deadline for changes comes up.
With regret, deposits are non-refundable, because each rod is built to order and no stock of complete rods is kept. In the unlikely event of your rod taking much longer to deliver than originally intended, this policy is negotiable on a case by case basis. We are human after all, and things don't always go exactly to plan.
You will always be kept informed of progress on your order. Any questions will be answered gladly, but please try to keep phone calls to reasonable hours and email is always preferred where possible.
A lifetime guarantee against failure of the rod or fittings due to manufacturing faults is offered. Sections or components will be replaced or repaired at my discretion. This does not include breakage due to misuse, shutting in car doors or standing on the rod although I will obviously be able to make any repairs should such an event occur.
