Built on machine planed blanks, manufactured by R Chapman and Co, these are a more affordable way of owning a high quality split cane fly rod. These blanks are manufactured to a very high standard, using the faster machine planing method, and while not as fine as a hand planed rod, they are certainly a very good second.
The finishing is still done by myself using the same grade of components and attention to detail that I apply to my hand planed signature rods. I rarely have the time to produce rods for stock and what I have available is very much down to the blanks I have been able to obtain.
